i went to see chubby brown live and thought he was ok sometimes he just tells it like it is. i also have watched videos / dvds of bernard manning and again thought he was funny. i liked frankie boyle on mock the week, but this show is far worse than chubbs and manning put together. one thing i dont understand is almost everyone with a mobile phone gets jokes passed on by friends that are very crude and they laugh and pass them on, then when a comic tells them in public they are disgusted.me and my son watch mind your language on you tube and its very funny, but some would say racist, but they all take the mickey out of one another. chill, laugh at life, we are only here once. |

Loved Frankie in mock the week, he intends to shock and his queens fanny joke drew lots of complaints. I hadn't seen tramadol nights but felt the need to having read this thread. First and foremost when watching him and his audience it struck me that he revels in his audience cringing at his sickness. Ive asked friends at work and those that have watched it cringe at what he's said but can't help but repeat the comments. I saw jimmy carr last year and his paedophile jokes created a strange reaction, as soon as a few began to laugh others felt it comfortable to do the same. I'm afraid the society we live in today; health and safety, blame driven, continually moves us towards a sterile culture. Love him or hate him....watch him or turn him off But let's not sensor him ! |

Sorry, but I don't buy this thing about "if you pay to go and see him, you know what to expect". Many years ago, I went to a Jimmy Somerville concert becase I liked his music, and yes, I did know he was a homosexual. I expected to hear him sing. What I didn't expect was a constant tirade between songs as to how being of that persuasion was the best thing since sliced bread, how persecuted he and his were, etc., etc. I didn't expect that - I expected a concert. |

No need to sensor him! He will probably be off the screens soon! Tired, predictable act! Is he still doing the stuff about Scottish people on holiday? |

Seen him live twice fella! First time was at a comedy store type show, when mock the week was just starting! 2nd time was when he was touring on his own! He did the same jokes almost 18 months apart and 12 months after some of the events! E.g the attempted suicide bomber at Glasgow airport routine! I had tickets for his latest tour, but after seeing him on a few chat shows, reeling out some of the same routine and then talk about being lazy I decided not to go and sold the tickets! I watched the first episode until the 2nd sketch and it just wasn't for me! I prefer smarter stuff and much more cutting edge! Like I said people like jim jefferies knocks spots off him now! I don't agree that this type of comedy should be banned, I just think frankie is no longer at the head of the que for his type of humour |

Yeah its a shame, but I just dont find him funny any more. I watched his first episode of Tramadol Nights today to give it a chance, and it didnt make me laugh at all! I dont get the way he picks someone out the crowd and insults them (its not in a funny way) - and the sketches on the show were poor. The Green Mile sketch could have been thought up by a 13 year old kid... As Ive said before, and Jassy said, Jim Jefferies is the way forward if you like dark humour that is original and funny. Most recently I watched his Alcoholocaust DVD and it had me laughing out loud - his jokes vary from tour to tour (unlike Frankie unfortuantely). And Im really jealous you got to see him live jassy I didnt realise he was on in Birmingham - or I would have deffo got myself a ticket! I take it he was as good as in his DVDs. I love the way he swills on his pints while telling the jokes - getting a bit more drunk as the show goes on :D |

Very funny mate! For the first half hour I was laughing that much I could hardly breath! He is on the wagon at the moment due to health issues, which he told us about at the gig! But like he said he's no quitter lol |

jim jeffries is the hearts manager, he is doing very well at the moment, they beat motherwell away last night 2-1 and now are just 3 points behind celtic. i would love it if they finished above celtic and i bet mrs ferguson would love it also. dont know any other jim jeffries. |
